La artista michoacana Natalia Curíntzita ha sido seleccionada para el segundo volumen del Catálogo de Arte Visual Contemporáneo a ser publicado este año 2008. En él se presentan a los artistas más destacados (en las diversas disciplinas plásticas) del estado de Michoacán. Cabe mencionar que Natalia Curíntzita también formó parte del primer volumen de este catálogo, el cual fue publicado en el año 2007.
Natalia Curíntzita, visual artist, has been selected for the second volume of the Catalogue of Contemporary Visual Arts to be published in this year 2008. In this catalogue are represented the most distinguished artists (in the different categories for visual arts) from the state of Michoacan. It is worth noting that Natalia Curíntzita was also included in the first volume of this catalogue, published in the year 2007.

CONCIERTO DE MÚSICA BARROCA CON EL CONTRATENOR HÉCTOR SOSA Y EL TRÍO MORELIA / BAROQUE MUSIC CONCERT WITH COUNTERTENOR HÉCTOR SOSA AND TRÍO MORELIA
El próximo día 6 de Agosto a las 19 hs tendrá lugar en la Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada (República de El Salvador No. 49, Col. Centro Histórico, México, D.F.) el concierto de música barroca ofrecido por el contratenor mexicano Héctor Sosa junto al Trío Morelia.
En este concierto se interpretarán obras de Manuel de Sumaya, Giovanni Bononcini, Francesco Cavalli, Antonio Lotti, Giovanni Paisiello, Georg F. Händel, Anton A. Schmeltzer, así como diversas sonatas del manuscrito anónimo de la Catedral de la Ciudad de México.
La entrada en gratuita (cupo limitado).
On August 6th at 7 PM will take place a concert of baroque music presented by the countertenor Héctor Sosa and the Trío Morelia. This event will take place at the Miguel Lerdo de Tejada Library (República de El Salvador No. 49, Downtown, Mexico City).
They will be performing works by Manuel de Sumaya, Giovanni Bononcini, Francesco Cavalli, Antonio Lotti, Giovanni Paisiello, Georg F. Händel, Anton A. Schmeltzer, as well as several sonatas included in an anonymous manuscript from the Mexico City Cathedral.
The admission is free.

TERMINA EL CURSO DE VERANO DE ÓRGANO 2008 / END OF THE 2008 ORGAN SUMMER COURSE
La organista Laura Carrasco ha concluido con éxito el curso de verano de órgano impartido en el Instituto Superior de Música Sacra de Morelia. A este curso acudieron más de 20 jóvenes organistas provenientes de diversos estados de la República Mexicana.
The organist Laura Carrasco has recently concluded teaching the Organ Summer Course at the Institute for Sacred Music in the city of Morelia (Mexico). More than 20 young organists travelled from different parts of the country to Morelia in order to attend this course.
